Ep. 417: Remembering #42 on ‘Jackie Robinson Day’ (Throwback Thursday)

Since it’s the 73rd anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking baseball’s color barrier, we listen back to our conversations with his former teammates Randy “Handsome Ransom” Jackson and original Astros third baseman Bob Aspromonte, who share their memories of Jackie. Former Houston Buff Larry Miggins, who played against Robinson in his first game with the Dodgers organization, remembers his part of that historic game. Plus, Greg Lucas explains how his friend, Hall of Fame player Monte Irvin, almost broke the color barrier before Robinson. We’ll conclude with an incredible conversation with Jackie Robinson himself.
