Before Carlos Correa, there was Dickie Thon

Astros Dickie Thon (1)When Dickie Thon was plunked in the head by a Mike Torrez pitch in 1984, he went from a potential superstar to a ‘what could have been’ career. Somehow he played another 9 years despite being barely able to see out of one eye.  He says in this Greg Hanlon Vice Sports story that it was like “looking through a sheet of wax paper”.
